My Favorite Non-Toxic Beauty Products

Did you know your beauty products contain unregulated ingredients that can irritate your skin?
It’s true! The FDA minimally regulates the beauty industry in the United States. That means your beauty products could contain carcinogens, irritants, and endocrine disruptors. It’s essential to be mindful about what skincare and beauty products you are using because your skin is your largest organ and can absorb 60% of what you put on it.
I use non-toxic beauty products to avoid damaging my skin and body with unregulated ingredients. Before I apply my clean beauty products, I always prepare my skin with my daily clean skincare routine. Here are 8 of my favorite clean make-up products that I follow it up with:
1. Ilia’s Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40
Ilia’s Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 is a light-coverage, tinted mineral serum that gives me a warm glow. I love that this foundation combines a serum, a foundation, and an SPF into one. The foundation feels weightless, and the SPF shields skin from UVA, UVB, UVC, blue light, and infrared rays. The serum contains hyaluronic acids to seal in hydration, plant-based squalane to plump the skin, and niacinamide to calm the skin. It is free of silicones, fragrances, and oils.
2. Ilia’s Radiant Translucent Powder
Ilia formulates this luxurious tinted powder with aloe leaf extract and rosemary oil. The talc-free and gluten-free formula provides SPF 20 and leaves my skin shine-free. Like all Ilia products, the ingredients are carefully selected for optimal skin health.
3. Ilia’s Limitless Lash Mascara
The Limitless Lash Mascara is an award-winning mascara that is buildable, flake-free, and lightweight. I love wearing this during the day because it adds just the right amount of volume while also lifting, curling, and lengthening my lashes. The mascara has a blend of organic bee and carnauba waxes to condition each lash, and it is gentle enough for sensitive skin. The formula also contains organic shea butter and arginine to enhance lashes. The best part? I can easily remove the mascara with water without scrubbing!
4. Ilia’s Clean Line Gel Liner
This eyeliner is my favorite! The liner glides easily and blends effortlessly, and it stays put. It is free of the carcinogen ingredient carbon black (unlike most eyeliners on the market). Instead, Ilia uses black pigment from charcoal for a clean alternative. I like to pair this liner with Ilia’s Limitless Lash Mascara to tie everything together.
RMS Beauty’s “Un” Cover-Up is a buildable, lightweight cream concealer. The concentrated cream hides redness, under-eye discoloration, and imperfections effortlessly with a natural finish. The clean formula contains organic jojoba oil, organic cocoa seed butter, and organic coconut oil to soothe and protect sensitive skin.
RMS Beauty makes the most luxurious cream eyeshadows. The eye polish is formulated with organic coconut oil, organic jojoba oil, and vitamin e to protect the skin. I love that the natural pigments provide a light-reflective finish and that the oil base nourishes the delicate skin around the eye.
This highly pigmented powder blush brings natural color to my cheeks. The formula contains wildcrafted buriti oil that offers potent antioxidant protection and vegetable squalane that hydrates and protects the skin. The blush is pressed without heat to preserve the benefits of the buriti oil.
The Wet Lip Oil Gloss from Kosas is packed with hydrating active ingredients that plump and protect my lips. The gloss contains hyaluronic acid, peptides, evening primrose oil, avocado oil, konjac root, and shea butter. I love that the clean formula is non-sticky and leaves my lips feeling super smooth and hydrated.
