The Founder

Amy Cohen Epstein is the Founder of The Seam, the President and Executive Director of the Lynne Cohen Foundation, and a life-long advocate for cancer education, preventive care, and collaborative medicine.

Established in memory of Amy’s mother, the Lynne Cohen Foundation has combatted women’s cancers for over twenty years with a nation-wide network of innovative preventive care clinics. Representing two arms of this shared mission (education/outreach and preventive care), The Seam and the Lynne Cohen Foundation seek to empower women with knowledge of women’s cancers and crucial medical resources.

Amy is passionate about extending the impact and reach of The Seam and the Lynne Cohen Foundation for women of all backgrounds. Her efforts have been recognized by the Today Show, People Magazine, the Reader’s Digest Health Heroes Award, as well as by various local news outlets.

LYNNE COHEN FOUNDATION

Established in 1998, the Lynne Cohen Foundation’s (LCF) mission is to combat ovarian and breast cancer through preventive care. With robust community education programs and a network of comprehensive preventive care clinics, the Lynne Cohen Foundation arms at-risk women and their families with the knowledge, tools, and clinical support they need to take action early, survive, and thrive.

Expanding preventive care access in marginalized BIPOC communities, in particular, has been a part of the Lynne Cohen Foundation mission since day 1. Over the past 20+ years, Lynne Cohen Foundation Preventive Care Clinics have provided free testing and clinical services to thousands of at-risk women who would otherwise not have had access to these resources. The Foundation is honored to continue expanding the availability of preventive care to all who need it.
